Quadrant Rail Consulting (QRC) supported Transdev and John Holland through the successful bid and transition phases of the new MR5 tram franchise in Melbourne—Australia’s largest light rail network.
QRC led operational and disruption management strategy for the bid, including development of key returnables, O&M structure design, and system integration reviews. After the Yarra Journey Makers (YJM) consortium was awarded the contract, QRC continued to assist in transition, focusing on operational readiness, safety compliance, and aligning legacy systems with YJM’s new framework. Our strategic guidance helped ensure a seamless handover and set the foundation for improved reliability, accessibility, and network performance.
