Quadrant Rail Consulting (QRC) was engaged to support the Haifa–Nazareth Light Rail project—also known as the Nofit Line—a 41 km, 20-stop light rail system expected to carry over 100,000 passengers daily through the Galilee region. The line aims to transform public transport in northern Israel by reducing travel times and congestion, while promoting sustainable, car-free travel.
QRC developed and optimised a full suite of timetables and rosters aligned with Israeli shift work rules and operational requirements. These were designed to reduce fleet size, limit overtime, and maximise efficiency. We also provided key data for the project’s financial model, including commercial kilometres, LRV utilisation, and trip frequency statistics. In addition, QRC was a key contributor to the Operations Phase Plan, offering detailed inputs for normal, degraded, and emergency scenarios. Throughout the process, we acted as the go-to operations advisor—delivering high-quality, responsive support from start to finish
